                                                           THE MICHIGAN CIVITAN FOUNDATION

Civitans of Michigan, you have a unique opportunity to join the Michigan Civitan Foundation. You are invited to strengthen your commitment to those less fortunate than yourself by becoming a Fellow in the Michigan Civitan Foundation or making a contribution as a Memorial for a friend, relative or special person.
WHAT IS THE FOUNDATION?
The Foundation is entirely dedicated to making a better life for people with a cognitive or physical impairment.  As an endowment program, only the interest in the Foundation will be dispersed.
It goes without saying that the one vital ingredient necessary to the success of the Foundation mission is the generous support of caring people like yourself.
TO BECOME A FOUNDATION FELLOW
With a donation of $500 or more, the honoree will not only become a Fellow in the Foundation but will also become a part of a distinguished group of benefactors who have accepted the challenge of working toward a better world.  All Fellows will also be given a certificate, receive recognition at the annual Foundation Event and be listed on a permanent record kept by the Michigan Area.
FELLOWSHIP IN PROGRESS
A Fellowship in Progress is spreading the total contribution of $500 over a three-year period with an initial donation of $100 or more.
TAX ADVANTAGES
The Michigan Civitan Foundation is a 501(C) (3) organization.  Whether your donation is a Fellowship or a Memorial, your gift is fully tax-deductible.
OTHER GIVING
Donations of any amount would be gratefully accepted and could include unrestricted bequests of money and/or material property.  Certain types of deferred giving provide additional tax incentives.  For more information about these other methods of giving, contact your legal advisor.
HONOR SOMEONE
Civitans, if there is someone in your Club who you would like to honor or a member of your community who you would like to recognize, why not give that person a gift that will go on giving year after year – take out a Fellowship in his or her name!  Donating funds to the Foundation would also be an appropriate way to provide a lasting memorial to someone who has passed away.
Special Note: Because of the stated goals of the Foundation, Candy Box funds may be used in support of a Foundation Fellowship or Memorial.
YOU CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE
Whether you establish a Memorial or honor someone with a Fellowship, the financial commitment you make today will go on working for years to come.  So, please mail your Endowment Pledge Form today and help us all work for a better tomorrow.
